You may have seen my Duck Egg Pinafore playsuit over on my instagram this week, and I decided to dedicate a whole blog post on where you can get beautiful Pinafores and different ways you can style them this summer and beyond!
Pinafores have always been my go-to in the Spring/Summer months as they are so easy to throw on but also look like you spent hours planning your outfit. You can wear them with trainers, docs or a cute sandal and every time it gives your outfit a unique spin!

There are so many available at the moment which is fab, and whether you’re looking for a simple lounging about dress, or a more refined, dressed up jumpsuit, there really is something for everyone!
Here is my run through of these wardrobe staple Pinafores which you can buy now and wear all summer long…
The Playsuit
The Playsuit is my favourite as it screams summer but also looks so chic! You can wear it on its own to top up your tan, or you can style it how I did with my white blouse underneath to give it a more styled and classic look.
There are so many cute ones around at the moment, including this Hollister Belted Romper pictured below, which is on sale at only £24! They also have a fab selection on Etsy and Ebay from independent shops which are a lot cheaper, and I’ve even found one on Etsy with a cute tie-back detail just like my one!
The Dress
I have 2/3 of these Pinafore dresses in my wardrobe as they are just so easy to wear and throw on in summer, and you can mix them up with different t-shirts, jumpers and turtle necks.
I’ve also included a super cute mini dress which is technically not a Pinafore, but I think it would look fab with a simple white tee or long sleeve top under it!
The Long Pinafore
I am obsessed with the longer style Pinafore, as Midi is so IN at the minute – it’s the perfect way to look stylish and comfy at the same time. You can also easily dress them up with some heeled sandals and a clutch for a more refined look.
The Jumpsuit
Jumpsuits have been taking the industry by storm for a good few years now as they look really polished but simple at the same time. Just like the Maxi/Midi Pinafores, you can easily dress them up for dinner and drinks, or go for a more casual look by adding a white tee, sandals or trainers.
Whichever Pinafore you decide to go for this summer, they are definitely an investment worth having! I’ve had mine for a couple of years now, and each season I make it feel more contemporary by adding up-to-date accessories and under garments so it never goes out of style!
What’s your wardrobe staple this summer?
